Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Architectural Engineering/Design
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in pre-construction project management in a commercial construction environment
• Advanced knowledge of pre-construction and estimating techniques and strategies
• High level familiarity with construction contract language and ability to assess risk in language
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and decision-making/problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive client focus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read and understand construction documents
• Ability to produce quality work in an autonomous manner in an ever-changing environment
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage Timberline Estimating, and Primavera Scheduling - prefer at least 5 years of experience using Sage Timberline Estimating
• Ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, scanner, adding machine, telephone, and mobile phone/radio
• Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, at least nine hours per day, five days per week generally between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients from first touch, build relationships, and lead pursuit to close deals.
• Estimate budgets and schedules for opportunities with limited design parameters.
• Analyze and vet subcontractor proposals to ensure completeness of scope of work.
• Manage multiple project pursuits, multi-task, and prioritize.
• Use critical path scheduling to establish durations for client proposals.
• Lead client interviews and meetings and develop presentations.
• Support operations with change orders and client relations as needed.
• Act with urgency and uphold ethics to support company culture.
• Assist other pre-construction staff as required.
• Build and strengthen relationships with clientele and subcontractors.
