Job summary

RGNext seeks a skilled Telecommunications/NetOps technician for an overseas assignment on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. This unaccompanied role requires ensuring DISA standard operations, coordinating with NetOps, and restoring services with specialized equipment.

You will perform testing, reporting, and maintenance across fixed stations, ensuring continuity of critical military communications and space-related networks. Relocation and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or related technical field or military experience.
• Five years of communications experience with at least four years in Technical Control or fixed station operations/maintenance.
• Basic PC operation and ability to patch, test, change frequencies, troubleshoot and restore circuits.
• Proficient with test equipment and ability to read schematics and manuals to diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

• Exercise technical control and supervision over GIG facilities, transmission systems, trunks, and circuits.
• Report status according to DISA directives and submit status reports.
• Coordinate with DISA NetOps centers and vendors to troubleshoot and restore service.
• Develop and follow DISA R-Plans, MECLs, and LRPs; maintain current plan copies.
• Perform quality control tests on trunks, channels, circuits, and equipment.
• Ensure quality of GIG transmission, timing, and switching with monitoring equipment.
• Review system performance and assist in troubleshooting with stakeholders.
• Perform testing, acceptance, and operational changes to trunks/circuits per DISA orders.
