Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet is seeking a seasoned supervisor to plan, assign and direct nuclear production work and oversee ship repair operations at overseas locations including Guam.

The role requires coordinating with subordinates, ensuring safety standards, and mentoring crews across several trades. The position emphasizes leadership, planning, and compliance with DoD policies, with potential travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites and mandatory security clearances.

Qualifications

• Screen-out element: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE.
• Experience directing nuclear production work and coordinating trades.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and direct work and training of subordinates.
• Oversee production work on ship repair and radiological operations.
• Plan use of equipment, facilities and materials on varying time frames.
• Establish deadlines, priorities and work sequences.
• Determine staffing and assignments for projects.
• Counsel employees and resolve minor issues with union input.
• Enforce safety rules and requirements.
• Lead and mentor trades including Marine Machinery Mechanic, Electrician, Pipefitter, Insulator, Fabric Worker, Radiological Material Control.
