Job summary

Channel Islands YMCA is hiring a Residential Case Worker to supervise participants, ensure safety, and implement positive youth development strategies. You will conduct daily check-ins, maintain comprehensive case notes, and coordinate referrals to community services.

The role requires strong crisis intervention skills, the ability to update service plans, and support for education, health, and independent living goals for youth and families.

Qualifications

• Supervise program participants and ensure safety.
• Apply elements of positive youth development to help youth make informed decisions.
• Maintain daily client case notes and records.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals after 24-hour calls.
• Support youth education, health, and independent living skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily one-on-one check-ins with residents and families.
• Update each client’s individualized service plan in a timely manner.
• Maintain daily documentation and record keeping.
• Identify needs and coordinate referrals for services.
• Assist with scheduling and safe transportation to health appointments.
