Job summary

TenderLove Community Center in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Night Shift Case Manager – Youth Transitional Housing to provide on-site support for youth in transitional housing during evening and overnight hours. You will monitor safety, conduct regular check-ins, and document progress while coordinating services with staff and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management, social services, or youth support roles, preferably in housing or shelter settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Crisis intervention, de-escalation, and maintaining professional boundaries with youth experiencing trauma or instability.
• Ability to document case notes clearly, manage schedules, and follow established policies with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and work with diverse populations.
• Comfort working overnight or late evening hours in an on-site environment and reliably fulfilling full-time schedule requirements.
• Knowledge of community resources related to housing, mental health, education, and employment for youth and young adults.
• Prior experience in nonprofit or community-based organizations and familiarity with trauma-informed, person-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services with internal staff and community partners.
• Assist youth in setting goals related to education, employment, and life skills.
• Facilitate access to resources such as counseling, healthcare, and social services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Participate in team meetings, communicating updates to day-shift staff.
• Help to maintain a respectful, supportive living environment.
