Job summary

Community Health Resources is seeking a Youth Worker for Grant House in Coventry, CT. This part-time role (24 hours/week) involves overnight shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, supporting boys aged 13-18 in a trauma-focused group home.

You will help maintain a safe environment, monitor medications, and conduct educational groups, working under supervision to promote safety, healing and growth in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain program standards and environment as required by funders and policies.
• Monitor medication self-administration according to agency policies.
• Collaborate with coworkers and clients using appropriate communication tools.
• Teach and assist residents in daily living activities.
• Assist with administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare and facilitate educational and skill-building groups and one-on-one interventions.
• Coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
• Address medical and psychiatric needs of residents.
• Maintain documentation per agency standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings.
