Job summary

Christian Children's Home of Ohio in Wooster seeks a Treatment Specialist (Direct Care Specialist) to provide supervision and therapy-support for youth ages 6-18 on the Wooster campus.

You'll lead daily activities, model healthy relationships, and participate in group and individual sessions, with a focus on safety, faith-based values, and compassionate care.

This role requires 21+ and Ohio residency, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license; background checks are performed.

Qualifications

• Age 21+ required by State of Ohio.
• High school diploma or GED required by State of Ohio.
• Previous experience with kids preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to be at work on CCHO's Wooster campus on time for each shift.
• Valid Ohio driver's license, with driving record that is insurable on agency policy; ability to legally and safely drive a vehicle.
• Must be able to maintain compliance/certification with SCM Safe Crisis Management and related training.

• Responsible for meeting basic physical and emotional needs of residents, including supervision, limit setting, and facilitating recreation and transportation to appointments.
• Utilize Safe Crisis Management (SCM) de-escalation and restraint techniques as per policy.
• Maintain campus safety by supervising residents at all times and following routines.
• Assist with visitations, greet guests, and interact with parents during visits.
