Job summary

YSS in Cambridge, IA is seeking a Residential Overnight Float to provide overnight support across CWES shelters and Residential Addiction Treatment programs. You’ll move between facilities, complete safety checks, assist with supervision of youth, and respond to emergencies while staying awake and engaged throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred.
• Ability to remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the overnight shift.
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with overnight staff and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly safety and security checks at multiple facilities.
• Support residents and overnight staff with routines and activities.
• Complete required documentation and time records.
• Respond to medical, behavioral health, or safety concerns as needed.
• Participate in supervision and trainings.
