Job summary

YSS is seeking energetic night owls to join as Part-Time Residential Overnight Float at Ember Recovery Campus in Cambridge, IA. You will move between CWES shelters and Residential Addiction Treatment programs, providing overnight support, maintaining safety, and assisting with youth care across multiple facilities.

As an Overnight Float, you must stay awake and engaged throughout the shift, support overnight staff, complete required checks, and communicate needs to the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work or life experience.
• Ability to stay awake for the entire overnight shift.
• Ability to work independently while communicating with overnight staff and supervisors.
• Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral, medical, or safety concerns.
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with youth and residential clients.
• Ability to walk between facilities regularly and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security across facilities.
• Perform security and safety checks every 15-20 minutes between facilities.
• Assist overnight staff with supervision and care of residents.
• Support residents with bedtime routines, morning activities, and daily care.
• Complete overnight housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Document checks and time-clock records as required.
