Job summary

Canon Business Process Services in Rhode Island is seeking an Overnight Shift Warehouse Supervisor to manage the warehouse/distribution department from 7a-7p with rotating weekends. You will oversee daily operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure efficient flow of goods.

The ideal candidate has GMP experience and strong supervisory and communication skills, capable of leading a team in a fast-paced environment while controlling costs

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution field.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in warehouse/distribution.
• GMP experience required.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work well in teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains day-to-day communications with department supervisors and managers.
• Initiates communication and problem solving with regard to customer concerns.
• Assists in recruiting new employees, administration of HR policies and procedures including safety, performance evaluations, employee training & development.
• Train new hires & existing employees on all warehouse functions, including safety procedures.
• Keeps management informed of all operational issues.
• Prioritize, schedule and delegates assignments to staff and monitors progress.
• Ensure quality and productivity standards are met by staff.
• Ensure proper maintenance and usage of all equipment and supplies.
• Compiles weekly and monthly statistical data for reporting.
• Manage budget and control expenses effectively.
• Assists with staff payroll, site billing, and service enhancements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by implementing and monitoring security procedures.
• Ensures all laws and regulations are followed and employees have current safety training for warehouse handling, shipping and transportation.

Responsible for the management of the warehouse/materials distribution department during the Overnight shift while ensuring a safe, secure, organized and efficient operation. In collaboration with multiple support departments, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring and maintaining an environment that provides for the efficient and effective flow of their respective departments.
