Job summary

BrightFarms is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations, meet production plans, and support farm operations toward market goals.

You will lead shipping, receiving, and storage activities, drive inventory accuracy, and implement SOPs across the facility. The role involves some nights and weekend work as needed with reporting to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years in Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience as Warehouse or Inventory Supervisor.
• Experience interpreting shipping, receiving, and PO docs.
• Forklift certification and powered equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping, receiving, and storage of materials.
• Maintain audit accuracy of materials received, shipped and stored.
• Track warehouse performance, space, and inventory levels.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
• Ensure timely recording of shipments and inventory transactions.
• Interface with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• Maintain item records and generate reports on warehouse status.
• Contribute to SOP creation for processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and update procedures.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and leadership.
• Maintain GMP and sanitation standards.
• Implement Food Safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure uninterrupted daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and aid farm operations to meet production plans while also increasing the company’s overall market share goals. This role reports to the Production Manager and includes some nights and weekend work as needed.

Specifically, You Will

• Demonstrate and operational excellence in shipping, receiving, and storing of materials
• Achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction through proper auditing of materials received, shipped, and stored.
• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities, space utilization and inventory levels
• Perform inventory cycle counts, verifications and reconciliations as required
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
• Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate and recorded in a timely manner
• Interface with internal and external customers to answer questions or solve problems
• Maintain item records, documents, and utilize reports to project warehouse status in the system
• Assist in the creation of SOPs for all processes to ensure business continuity and resilience
• Identify areas of improvement and establish new or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• Review and coordinate activities with other departments and leadership
• Maintain sanitary conditions of the work area by directing and ensuring that operators follow the established GMP and Sanitation Standards
• Implement and maintain established Food Safety Practices (including GMP, Sanitation and other Food Safety Inspections/Procedures)
• Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelors degree or 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Business administration, or Related Field
• Proven work experience as a Warehouse or Inventory Supervisor
• 2-3 years of experience in interpreting shipping, receiving, purchase order and other related documentation
• Forklift certification and experience operating powered equipment to load, unload and move materials as required
