Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct warehouse operations at the store level in New York. You will supervise warehouse staff, manage daily freight schedules, and ensure accurate receiving and shipping processes.

The role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work extended hours during peak seasons. Join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment).
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day activities of the warehouse: shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Manage warehouse area related to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Oversee warehouse safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with other departments for efficient warehouse operations.
• Complete activity reports for management.
• Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely entry.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiving reports.
• Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP and ensure proper product staging and storage.
