Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking an Overnight Warehouse Receiver at our Chesterfield, NH location. You will move products off trucks, log items into inventory, and place goods in correct staging areas.

The role includes operating RF systems, ensuring accurate labeling, and maintaining HACCP/SQF compliance. The position runs 11:00 PM – Sunday to Thursday with a base pay of $22.75 per hour plus a $1.25 night differential.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow all receiving procedures, including RF system usage.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, Bills of Lading, and packing lists.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Good judgment is required when supervision isn't available.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for having a strong understanding of the entire warehouse and receiving procedures. Also needs to understand the products, receiving procedures, and back stock put away procedures. A receiver is responsible for moving product off trucks, monitoring the quality of product, entering it into inventory, and properly putting product in its respective staging location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Verifies quantities of product received against the packing slip/purchase order.


• Checks and reports any damage found due to refrigeration, travel or handling by inbound freight company.


• Sorts or breakdowns all incoming product.


• Builds steady wrap pallets to be put into back stock reserves.


• Ensures that all labeling of product and pallets are accurate for put-away.


• Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Understand and properly follow all receiving procedures, including how to use RF systems.


• Understand all paperwork related to receiving including how to read and use Purchase Order (PO) receivers, Bills of lading, and packing lists.


• Ability to work overtime as needed.


• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
