Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Forklift Operator to stock shelves, receive deliveries, and assist Members with a positive service experience. The role emphasizes safety, efficient material handling, and maintaining organized club operations.

The position includes frequent pallet movements, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and accessible for Members. Prior forklift exposure is helpful, with required training and certification provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner and inspects forklifts prior to use.
• Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks.
• Receives all merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lifts, reserves and drops pallets for safe handling and stocking.
• Transports merchandise and pallets throughout the club using a pallet jack as needed.
• Stocks, rotates, and stores general and food merchandise; maintains clean, organized area.
• Greets Members and provides prompt, courteous service and assistance.
