Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is hiring for a forklift operator responsible for moving merchandise, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining palletized stock within the club. You will operate a forklift safely, participate in opening and closing procedures, and help ensure a clean, organized shopping environment for Members.

This role requires 18+ years of age, certification/training, and may involve standing for long periods while performing physical tasks in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Forklift operating experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner and inspect before use.
• Load and unload merchandise to and from delivery trucks.
• Prepare pallets for shipping: wrapping, strapping, stacking and labeling.
• Transport merchandise and pallets around the club using a pallet jack as needed.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; keep the club neat, organized and clean.
• Greet Members and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Participate in daily club openings and closings.
