Job summary

Brown Distributing in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to support daily beer and beverage distribution operations. The role requires standing, walking, heavy lifting, and operating warehouse equipment to receive, store, and ship products.

The job begins at 9:00 PM and runs Sunday through Thursday, offering a base pay of $18.00 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid vacation and more.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb during long shifts.
• Capable of lifting 15–40 pound cases repeatedly and moving heavy loads.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and organize pallet racks and stations.
• Prepare orders by pulling products and placing them in audit or staging areas.
• Receive and verify stock using the warehouse management system.
• Sort products and store on shelves according to standards.
• Operate and maintain pallet jacks, forklifts, and WMS equipment.
• Support inventory controls and assist in counting physical inventory.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb during long shifts: 8-12 hours
• Must be able to lift and carry 15-40 pound cases on a repetiti ve basis and move draft beer, weighing up to 161 pounds.
• Must have the ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather and/or temperature conditions

Summary

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are representative of those required by this position and are not meant to be all inclusive:

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by safely operating warehouse machinery and keeping pallet racking , pallet area, and work stations neat; this may require sweeping, dusting, mopping, or general maintenance
• Prepares orders by processing requests, pulling products, and placing orders in audit or staging area
• Receives and processes incoming warehouse stock products by verifying quantity and description of products received by checking merchandise against the packing list utilizing warehouse management system (WMS)
• Sorts and places products on shelves or designated area according to organizational standards
• Operates and maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment, including pallet jacks, fork lifts, and WMS equipment
• Performs inventory controls and keeps quality standards high for audits; may also assist in counting of physical inventory
