Job summary

Brown Distributing is seeking a full-time on-site employee in La Grange, TX, to support route delivery operations. The role requires the ability to lift heavy cases, stand for long periods, and operate safely in varying conditions. CDL training is provided and internal advancement is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas Class C driver’s license (preferred).
• Be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch for long shifts (8–12 hours).
• Able to lift 15–40 lb cases repeatedly and move draft beer up to 161 lbs.
• Capable of performing heavy manual tasks under varying weather/temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety policies and practices.
• Assists Route Driver to ensure orders are complete and products stocked/rotated to standards.
• Directs backing of route trucks to avoid obstacles and ensure safe parking.
• May perform hot-shot deliveries as needed by the delivery department.
• Cross-train team members and promote from within where possible.

Requirements

• Must have a valid class “C” Texas Driver’s License (preferred)
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb during long shifts: 8-12 hours
• Must be able to lift and carry 15-40 pound cases on a repetiti ve basis and move draft beer, weighing up to 161 pounds.
• Must have the ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather and/or temperature conditions

Summary

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities are representative of those required by this position and are not meant to be all inclusive:

• Adheres to the strict safety policies and practices set in place by Brown Distributing, the account, and state and federal law
• Assists the Route Driver to ensure all BDC work orders are complete and products are stocked and rotated up to BDC Standards within the assigned areas of the account
• Directs the backing of route trucks to ensure the avoidance of all obstacles and ensure safe parking
• May be required to run hot-shot deliveries as needed by the delivery department
