Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking a Veterinary Outpatient Triage Assistant for the overnight weekday shift in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time role supports the emergency team, triages patients, and helps clinicians with exams and care.

You may have veterinary experience or be eager to start a career in emergency medicine. Training will be provided; safety, compassion, and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced 24-hour hospital.

Qualifications

• Passionate about animal care and veterinary medicine.
• Able to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Willingness to learn and grow in emergency veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming emergency veterinary patients and identify those needing immediate attention.
• Obtain and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Safely restrain patients for examinations, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with diagnostics, treatments, and patient care.
• Prepare and dispense medications as directed.
• Monitor and support patients throughout their visit.
• Communicate with pet owners with compassion and professionalism.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked treatment areas; support 24-hour operations.
