Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Specialty departments!

Schedule: Must be able to work 12-hour shifts. Weekend & holiday availability is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting various departments including Emergency, Neurology, Oncology, and Surgery.
2. Triaging patients and obtaining patient history.
3. Identifying patients at risk for arrest and initiating CPR.
4. Placing IV catheters and advanced lines such as Jugular, Central Lines, or PICC lines.
5. Monitoring and caring for ventilator cases.
6. Collaborating with skilled technicians and assistants to provide excellent care.
7. Mentoring and training co-workers.
8. Nursing critically ill patients back to health and reuniting them with their pet parents.
