Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is hiring a Veterinary Technician for the Overnight Shift in Meridian, ID. You will support veterinarians, advocate for pets, and help manage patient flow during weekend nights.

The role requires 2-3 years clinical experience and surgery experience; licensure preferred. We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus and an overnight differential of $2/hr, plus Thrive's learning programs and benefits across our nationwide network.

• Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
• 2–3 years of clinical experience required.
• Surgery experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain medical records with practice systems.
• Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
