Job summary

All Valley Animal Care Center, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Part-time, Overnight Shift ER Veterinary Technician in Meridian, ID. You’ll assist vets, perform lab tests, and help admit/discharge patients while delivering compassionate care.

The role requires 2-3 years of clinical experience and licensure is preferred; you’ll be part of a supportive team with opportunities for growth and ongoing training across our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
• 2-3 years of clinical experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures per state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
• Communicate with clients about pet health and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
• Obtain health history from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, keep treatment areas clean and organized; mentor team members.
