Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Valet Attendant in Chicago, IL. The role greets guests, handles valet tasks, and assists with luggage while maintaining excellent customer relations. A valid driver’s license with 2+ years driving experience is required, with a preference for applicants who can drive a manual transmission.

Proficiency in MS Office is expected. Payrate starts at $18.30/hr plus tips. Schedule is Wed-Sun 11PM–7AM.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
• Greet customers by name, address their needs, and build rapport.
• Provide valet tickets and explain the retrieval process.
• Park and retrieve cars carefully, efficiently, and on time.
• Open and close doors for customers on arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage as needed.
• Direct traffic to keep car flow clean and organized.

A LAZ Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.

What does a day in the life of a LAZ Valet Attendant look like?

People

• Welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
• Greet all customers by name, take care of their needs, and develop a rapport with each person driving up to your stand.
• Provide each customer with a valet ticket and provide an explanation of the retrieval process.
• Promote awesome customer relations. Smile, go above and beyond, make them love LAZ Parking the moment they meet you.

Parking

• Engine off, keys out - turn off each car and remove keys.
• Park and retrieve cars like a champ. This means carefully, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Open and close doors for every customer upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage from vehicle and to vehicle as necessary.
• Help direct traffic to keep the flow of cars clean and organized, all with a smile on your face!

What would we like you to bring to the team?

• Strong customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license required with 2+ years of driving experience.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language.
• Ability to drive a standard transmission is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
