Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Unarmed Guard Registration (or ability to obtain).
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
• Strong written communication for reporting.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in dynamic situations.
• Prior security, hospitality, or customer-facing experience preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property.
• Conduct routine and randomized foot patrols across all assigned floors and areas.
• Monitor guest and employee activity to deter unauthorized behavior.
• Assist guests and staff in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
• Identify, document, and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues.
• Accurately complete daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Notify Asheville Police Department when issues exceed the scope of unarmed security and fully document the incident.
• Record the entry of all emergency vehicles onto the property.
