Job summary

US LBM in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Truss Assembler I to assemble truss components, stock lumber and plates, and band/stack finished products. This role supports safe operations and relies on careful attention to detail.

The position offers an overnight 2nd shift (Mon–Thu 6:00pm–4:30am; Fri 6:00pm–2:30am when production requires) with starting pay of $15.00 per hour. You will read shop drawings, operate equipment, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Prior carpentry experience preferred.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
• Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.

Responsibilities

• Lay out truss supplies and materials on carts or floor and stock plates for component set‑up.
• Assemble components under the direction of line leaders.
• Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Read shop drawings to identify plate sizes, plate gauges, and bolt patterns.
• Monitor production workflow and assist other areas as needed.
