Job summary

WorldStrides is seeking Night Chaperones to monitor student behavior and ensure safety on hotel floors during nighttime hours. You will work from 9:45 PM to 5:00 AM, collaborating with the Night Chaperone Coordinator and Onsite Coordinator.

Responsibilities include maintaining professional conduct, assisting with check-ins, and escalating issues as needed to protect students and educators while delivering a high-quality experience on our educational travel programs.

Qualifications

• Availability in October and November, and in the spring from February-June, during peak season.
• Must be willing to commute to on-site locations in Rockville, Maryland Area.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical skills with knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word and Excel), email, and working from a smartphone.
• Must have the use of sensory skills as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, and hear – to be able to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and clients.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including walking up and down numerous flights of stairs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Successful completion of applicable background screening.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers, vendors, and fellow employees with honesty, respect, and professionalism.
• Provide the highest level of safety for all participants while they are on tour.
• Actively monitor assigned hotel floors from 9:45pm to 5am. (required)
• Present a professional image – remain courteous, positive, and helpful.
• Follow proper procedure while working on assigned floors to include checking in/out of the hotel with designated personnel, introduction to Program Leaders, and groups and escalation protocol.
• Always maintain a professional relationship with students. (required)
