Job summary

Sweeping Corporation of America is seeking an Overnight Street Sweeper for full-time work in Richmond, VA on the night shift. You will operate a street sweeper, follow safety and inspection procedures, and report issues promptly.

Applicants should have a CDL-B with a DOT Medical Card and 1 year DOT driving experience. We offer competitive hourly pay ($22–$23.50) with eligibility for a first pay increase at 6 months, plus comprehensive benefits and a culture focused on safety and worker

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1 year DOT driving experience; waste & recycling services experience preferred.
• CDL-B and DOT Medical Card required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record and pass MVR/background/drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned routes and operate the street sweeper safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Follow traffic laws, site protocols and safety procedures at all times.
• Report equipment issues, incidents or injuries promptly to management.
