Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. You will move goods from pallets and carts to correct locations and maintain clean, safe working areas.

You’ll work with leadership to complete tasks on time, interact with customers as needed, and perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs. Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus and overnight shifts are available.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.
