Job summary

Safeway in Soldotna, Alaska is seeking a Stocker to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. Day shifts involve stocking, organizing displays, and helping shoppers locate items; overnight shifts focus on deliveries, restocking, and resetting displays.

The role also moves products from backroom to floor, rotates inventory, and keeps aisles clear for a fast-paced shopping environment. Applicants should be 18+, able to lift up to 60 lbs, and willing to work flexible hours including weekends

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and balers following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including daytime, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and organize displays.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and help locate items.
• Overnight shifts prepare the store for the next day, handling deliveries and restocking.
• Move products from backroom to the sales floor and rotate inventory.
• Keep aisles clear and maintain clean work areas.
