Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Stocker to keep shelves full and the store ready for customers. You will stock during the day, assist shoppers, and help locate items. Overnight shifts focus on deliveries and resetting displays for the next day, while moving products from backroom to floor and rotating stock to maintain fresh layouts.

The role requires physically active work with lifting up to 60 lbs and flexibility to work day, evening, or overnight shifts across a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and balers following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including daytime, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and prepare displays to keep the store well-stocked and organized.
• Assist customers on the sales floor and help locate items.
• Prepare the store for next-day operations during overnight shifts (deliveries, restocking, displays).
• Move products from backroom to the sales floor and rotate inventory as needed.
