Job summary

Safeway in Fairbanks is seeking a dedicated Stocker to keep shelves stocked and the store running smoothly.

You will stock products on the floor, assist customers with locating items, and help prepare the store for daytime and overnight shifts, including deliveries and backroom organization. The role requires physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to rotate inventory while keeping aisles clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and balers following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including daytime, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and organize displays on the floor.
• Assist customers with questions or locating items on the sales floor.
• Overnight shifts involve preparing the store for the next day, including deliveries and backroom resets.
• Move products from backroom to the sales floor and rotate inventory.
• Keep aisles clear and easy to shop, maintaining clean work areas and following safety procedures.
