Job summary

The polysomnography technologist at Keck Medicine of USC/USC Verdugo Hills Hospital performs and evaluates overnight polysomnograms and other sleep studies, operating advanced equipment to record sleep physiology. You will apply recording devices, monitor data, and ensure patient safety per policy.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years experience performing Sleep Studies (hospital setting preferred).
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and orders; coordinate with physicians and staff.
• Set up and calibrate sleep study equipment; explain procedures to patients.
• Prepare patients for procedures; manage CPAP and Oxygen therapy per orders.
• Record and score polysomnograms and related tests per guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.
