Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience performing Sleep Studies (preferably in a hospital setting).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision to analyze complex situations and apply policy.
• Teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and communicate with physicians to clarify orders.
• Set up and calibrate sleep study equipment prior to patient arrival.
• Prepare patient for procedures and manage CPAP and Oxygen therapy per physician's order.
• Record and score polysomnograms and sleep tests according to guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and protect confidentiality.
• Stay current on polysomnographic techniques and sleep disorder updates.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in training as required.
