Job summary

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, in Hershey, PA is seeking a Full-Time Human Research Technologist (Sleep) to explain study aspects and procedures, maintain lab equipment, apply electrodes and monitor overnight sleep studies.

As a sleep technician, the position will be accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings (including consecutive night studies) for clinical trials in human subjects; monitor and track research study files to

Qualifications

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) strongly preferred.
Will consider candidates with prior training in sleep studies and suitable experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for all overnight sleep research recordings; monitor and track research studies to ensure quality control.
Perform PSGs and participate in Actigraphy data collection.
Maintain supplies for sleep laboratory and recording equipment.
Collect and analyze biological samples (saliva, urine).
Update and maintain databases; verify data; manage research forms and materials.
Collaborate with coordinators, investigators, personnel and data teams on sleep data tasks.
