Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in human services, preferably with individuals experiencing homelessness or substance use issues.
• Ability and willingness to obtain FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness within 90 days of hire.
• Willing to obtain CPR and NYC Food Handler’s certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the overall shelter environment to ensure rules are followed and safety is maintained.
• Conduct regular safety and room checks, lead fire drills, and monitor kitchen staff as needed.
• Manage the daily schedule of activities and ensure clients and staff are where they need to be.
• Oversee client appointments and track schedules.
• Administer breathalyzer tests or observe urine collection as required.
