Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Shelter Monitor to support clients in shelter facilities within the Housing and Homeless Services department. The role enforces rules, handles intake, and documents incidents in a professional, trauma-informed manner.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience in human services or customer service.
• Basic computer skills in MS Office; willing to learn.

Responsabilités

• Performs shelter intake for all clients and reports issues to staff.
• Provide referrals as necessary and assist in crisis intervention.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and dorm areas throughout the day.
• Maintain safety: CPI de-escalation, incident reporting and 911 as needed.
• Make shift log entries and communicate concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with safe storage and access for medication as needed.
