Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to help keep our community safe. You will patrol buildings, inspect access points, respond to alarms, and document incidents to support residents and staff. This role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, strong judgment, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; age 18.
• 2+ years related security experience preferred.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points.
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies.
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity.
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports.
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas.
• Assist with emergency response procedures.
• Escort residents and team members after hours.
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance.
• Secure and unlock areas per policy.
