Job summary

Catholic Charities of New York is seeking a Front Desk Security Counselor to oversee overnight housing operations, ensuring safety and offering counseling support to residents. The role includes monitoring, documentation, and adherence to program policies while coordinating with the Program Director and staff.

The position requires a High School Diploma, experience with mental health populations, and the ability to work flexible/shift hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience helping individuals with serious mental illness or similar population.
• Experience with security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and monitoring during overnight shifts.
• Document activities in logs and sign-in/visitor logs.
• Manage incidents and notify supervisor, document events.
• Provide counseling support as needed and maintain case records.
• Follow program policies and NY State Office of Mental Health guidelines.
