Job summary

Allied Universal, West Chester, OH, is seeking a Security Officer for full-time overnight patrols at a commercial real estate site. You will deliver customer service to tenants and visitors while enforcing site procedures and safety protocols.

You will conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to alarms, and document activities. The role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma, and successful background checks, with drug screening and licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common spaces, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports and shift logs.
