Job summary

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer for night shifts (Mon-Fri, 11pm–7am) to protect residents, tenants, and guests across properties in Reston and Loudoun County.

The role requires an active Virginia security officer certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer-service skills. You will patrol, control access, enforce rules, and support events while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Virginia security officer certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer-service related field.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Flexible to work after hours and weekends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system.
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Ensure no property is being damaged.
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Issue banning notices to rule violators and maintain ban notices file.
• Maintain the appearance of plaza kiosks and enforce plaza policies.
• Communicate rules and safety information to guests; assist Marketing for events.
• Manage valet and traffic at Reston Station; oversee special event plaza marketing plans.
• Close loading dock doors as needed; report concerns to management.
