Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Security professional to ensure a high level of service for residents, guests, and service providers. The role includes greeting and registering guests, maintaining safety, and logging daily records while responding to emergencies and operating electronic security controls.

The position reports to the Security Supervisor and requires reading security procedures and participating in staff meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College coursework in business or hospitality preferred.
• Strong customer service background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Monitors and operates Electronic Security Control Systems and Emergency Response Systems.
• Responds to emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Monitors and controls access to the building.
• Accurately maintains daily logs, records, and forms.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Works shifts that are subject to change based on property needs.
• Reads and understands The Continental Employee Handbook/Security SOPs.
• Attends Security / Front Desk staff meetings.
• May be assigned other duties by the on-site Community Association Manager.
