Allied Universal in Elgin, IL is hiring a Security Officer - Full Time - Overnights to serve at a financial institution and other clients. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role requires being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, possessing a high school diploma, and passing a background check and drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, assist with visitor management and badge procedures.
• Prepare incident reports and logs, and communicate observations to supervision and site contacts.
