Job summary

First Class Security, Inc. in Nashville is seeking full-time overnight security officers to patrol properties across Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

You will work third shift with schedules from Monday through Sunday, with immediate hire and paid license support during the first week for full-time hires.

Job description

First Class Security is hiring full time overnight security officers for properties in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Third shift, with schedules available Monday through Sunday. Immediate hire. You do not need a Tennessee security license to apply. If you are hired, we walk you through the state registration and you must complete it within your first week, and we pay for the license for full time hires.

What you will do

• Patrol the property on a regular overnight schedule and maintain a visible presence
• Check the status of building systems and secure doors, exits and windows after hours
• Assist residents and guests throughout the shift and answer the phone at the post
• Monitor surveillance cameras and respond to alarms by assessing the situation and following post orders
• Address trespassing and suspicious activity within post authority, de escape, and escalation to your supervisor and to authorities when required
• Write clear, factual daily activity reports and incident reports
• Follow all company, client and privacy guidelines

What you need

• 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Eligibility to obtain Tennessee unarmed security guard registration within your first week of employment. We help you through the process and pay the fee for full time hires.
• Prior security experience is welcome but not required. We also hire from military, law enforcement, customer service and hospitality backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work overnight hours consistently
• Strong observation skills, comfort with surveillance systems, and clear report writing
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Pay and benefits

• $17 to $18 per hour
• Weekly pay by direct deposit
• State license paid for full time hires and paid internal training
