Location: Hillsboro, TN 37342
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Status: Full-Time

About the Position

Treston Security Services is seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer for an overnight assignment at a commercial facility in Hillsboro, Tennessee.

This position is responsible for maintaining a secure environment through access control, property monitoring, routine patrols, and detailed observation of site activity. Officers must remain alert throughout the shift and be capable of identifying and reporting security concerns, safety hazards, and unauthorized activity.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the property and surrounding areas for suspicious or unauthorized activity
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and access points
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and trespassing
• Observe and report security incidents, safety hazards, and maintenance concerns
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and restricted areas as assigned
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately and professionally
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, site representatives, and emergency personnel
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established site procedures
• Enforce client policies and site security requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous security, customer service, military, or related experience preferred
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to meet all applicable Tennessee security licensing and registration requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security officer experience
• Experience working overnight shifts
• Access control or property patrol experience
• Military or law enforcement background
• Experience in commercial, industrial, agricultural, or warehouse environments
