Job summary

First Class Security is hiring unarmed security officers for commercial, multifamily and residential properties across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Full time and part time schedules are available across all three shifts. You do not need a Tennessee security license to apply.

If hired, we guide you through state registration and cover the license cost for full-time hires. Pay ranges from $17 to $18 per hour with weekly direct deposit.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligibility to obtain Tennessee unarmed security guard registration within first week; license paid for full-time hires.
• Prior security experience is welcome but not required; candidates from military, law enforcement, customer service and hospitality are considered.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property on a regular schedule and maintain a visible, professional presence.
• Control access at gates, lobbies and entrances and verify residents, visitors, vendors and contractors.
• Assist residents, tenants and guests with courtesy and answer questions at the post.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and building systems and respond to alarms by assessing the situation and following post orders.
• Address trespassing and suspicious activity within post authority, de escalate, and escalate to your supervisor and to authorities when required.
• Write clear, factual daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Follow all company, client and privacy guidelines.

What you need

• Prior security experience is welcome but not required. We also hire from military, law enforcement, customer service and hospitality backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation to posts across Middle Tennessee
• Strong observation skills, clear written and spoken communication, and a calm manner with the public
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
