Job Skills / Requirements

No prior experience is required.

Military veterans and individuals with security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.

Shift Opening(s):

Monday - Sunday / 3rd shift

Rate of Pay:

$17.00 - $18.00/hour

• Pay rates range from $16-$19 per hour, depending on experience, shift, and location. We will try to match you with a position that fits your availability and qualifications. Limited availability may affect eligibility for certain roles.

This is a part-time role with potential for up to 39 hours per week with flexible availability.

This is NOT an armed security position. Weapons are not permitted on premises, including in personal vehicles.

About The Job

As a Security Officer at DK Security, you'll ensure the safety of our clients' properties. Responsibilities include:

• Customer Service: Assist clients, visitors, and coworkers professionally.
• Observe and Report: Monitor for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard as required.
• Patrols: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols.
• Access Control: Manage entry to restricted areas, verify IDs.
• Safety Enforcement: Ensure a secure environment, report safety concerns.
• Emergency Response: Assist in emergencies, administer CPR/First Aid/AED, communicate with emergency services.
• Client Communication: Maintain professional contact with client staff and keep supervisors informed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 and hold a Michigan CPL or LEOSA card for armed security roles.
• Pass a drug screening; comply with federal laws regarding marijuana.
• No felony convictions; no misdemeanors related to dishonesty, violence, weapons, or controlled substances.
• Able to sit, stand, walk, and lift at least 50 lbs. (70 lbs. for armed roles).
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification or willingness to obtain.
• Good vision and hearing.
• Proficient with smartphones/computers; fluent in English.
• Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• High personal integrity and positive attitude.
• Complete training on time and adhere to policies.

Note: Current employees on disciplinary probation or previously removed from the contract are not eligible.
