Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Rochester, NY is seeking a Corporate Security Officer to join our asset protection team. You will conduct foot and vehicle patrols across corporate, distribution and manufacturing facilities, monitor access control, and verify vendors and drivers entering and leaving sites.

You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, responding to emergencies, and supporting employees and customers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority in a military, municipal, county, state, or federal police agency.
• Valid license to carry a firearm.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to complete any required specialized training.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate and maintain composure in stressful environments.
• Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical aptitude, including efficiently navigating multiple programs and screens.
• Ability to anticipate, analyze and identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations; provide ongoing support and guidance to both employees and customers.
• Control visitor and vendor access by verifying all visitors have a valid business purpose.

Our security officers play a key role in maintaining the safety of the Wegmans grounds by being a highly trained security professional, skilled in key areas of Wegmans Asset Protection.
