Job summary

Montage International in Bluffton, SC seeks an Overnight Security Officer I to ensure a safe environment for guests and associates and to support daily security operations.

You will patrol facilities, respond to emergencies, monitor CCTV, and assist guests with WOW opportunities while maintaining logs and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work the overnight shift from 11PM - 7AM.
• High school or equivalent education.
• Preferred experience in military, law enforcement, EMS.
• Active certification in first aid/CPR/AED preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work the overnight shift 11PM–7AM.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the resort, checking doors and rooms for security.
• Respond to all guest and associate calls, prioritizing emergencies.
• Maintain the security office and fire panel.
• Write and submit detailed incident reports.
• Ensure logs (keys, lost and found, passes, etc.) are current via daily audits.
• Monitor CCTV and supervise grounds from the surveillance system.
• Answer phones and dispatch calls.
• Provide a professional security presence with a focus on customer service.

Overnight Security Officer I

Summary

The Overnight Security Officer I is responsible to perform the daily tasks of the Safety and Security Department to ensure a safe and secure environment for our resort guests and associates. The Security Officer I will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Montage resort operations and resort facilities. Work to achieve the goals and objectives of the Department and the mission statement of the Resort.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position include, although are not limited to:

• This position will work the overnight shift from 11PM - 7AM
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols throughout Resort, checking for unsecured doors and rooms, trespassers, unauthorized persons in restricted areas and safety hazards.
• Respond to all guest and associate calls while on patrol, making emergencies a top priority.
• Proactively assist Guests while looking for WOW opportunities.
• Maintain the security office and fire panel.
• Writing and submitting formal incident reports in great detail.
• Ensure all record logs such as key logs, lost and found, group resumes, contractor passes, and emergency equipment are all current and up to date via daily audits.
• Ensure all Officers daily shift logs and shift pass-down logs are complete.
• View CCTV monitors and keep constant surveillance of grounds through the camera system.
• Answer phones and dispatch calls.
• Conduct security officer duties in a timely manner.
• Conduct associate safety training and report/resolve safety hazards throughout the Resort on a daily basis.
• Respond to, communicate, follow up, and provide updates on all incidents as they occur.
• Have full knowledge of the Resort's activities/events each shift and provide a professional security presence while focusing on customer service.
• Receive and communicate all information pertaining to your shift from the daily briefings.

Physical Requirements

Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently. Must be able to push and pull equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
