Montage International is seeking an Overnight Security Officer I to protect guests and associates at our Bluffton resort. The role requires patrolling the property, handling incidents, and ensuring a secure environment while delivering attentive hospitality service.

The position operates on the overnight shift, with responsibilities that include incident reporting, logging, and responding to calls. A background in security or related fields is preferred, along with first aid/CPR/AED

Qualifications

• Must be available to work the overnight shift from 11PM - 7AM.
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Preferred experience in military, law enforcement, EMS.
• Active certification in first aid/CPR/AED preferred.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work the overnight shift 11PM–7AM.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the resort.
• Respond to guest and associate calls, prioritizing emergencies.
• Proactively assist guests and create WOW moments.
• Maintain the security office and fire panel.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with accuracy.
• Maintain logs (keys, lost and found, passes) and daily audits.
• Monitor CCTV and ensure ongoing surveillance.
• Answer phones and dispatch calls.
• Conduct safety training and address hazards daily.
• Stay informed on resort activities and provide professional security presence.

Overnight Security Officer I

SUMMARY

The Overnight Security Officer I is responsible to perform the daily tasks of the Safety and Security Department to ensure a safe and secure environment for our resort guests and associates. The Security Officer I will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Montage resort operations and resort facilities. Work to achieve the goals and objectives of the Department and the mission statement of the Resort.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• This position will work the overnight shift from 11PM - 7AM
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols throughout Resort, checking for unsecured doors and rooms, trespassers, unauthorized persons in restricted areas and safety hazards.
• Respond to all guest and associate calls while on patrol, making emergencies a top priority.
• ProactivelyassistGuests while looking for WOW opportunities.
• Maintain the security office and fire panel.
• Writing andsubmittingformal incident reports ingreat detail.
• Ensure all record logs such as key logs,lostandfound,group resumes, contractor passes, and emergency equipment are all current and up to date via daily audits.
• Ensure allOfficersdaily shift logs and shift pass-down logs are complete.
• View CCTV monitors and keep constant surveillance of grounds through the camera system.
• Answer phones and dispatch calls.
• Conduct security officer duties in a timely manner.
• Conduct associate safety training and report/resolve safety hazards throughout the Resort on a daily basis.
• Respond to, communicate, follow up, and provide updates on all incidents as they occur.
• Have full knowledge of the Resort’s activities/events each shift and provide a professional security presence while focusing on customer service.
• Receive and communicate all informationpertaining toyour shift from the daily briefings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be available to work the overnight shift from 11PM - 7AM
• High school or equivalent educationrequired.
• Preferred experience in military, law enforcement, EMS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listeningand hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.frequently. Must be able to push and pull equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally. Must be ableto exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the hotel ona timelybasis. Must be able to bend, stoop,squatand stretch to fulfill tasks.
