Job summary

Moxy Phoenix is seeking an Overnight Attendant to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. You will patrol hotel premises, respond to alarms and incidents, assist guests and staff during emergencies, and enforce policies with a guest-focused approach.

The role requires vigilance, professionalism, and strong problem-solving skills. You will prepare incident reports, coordinate with authorities when needed, and support loss prevention while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; training in law enforcement, security, or hospitality preferred.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience desirable.
• Valid security license or guard card where required by law.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises regularly (guest floors, back-of-house, parking, public spaces).
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly.
• Assist guests and staff during accidents, theft, disturbances, or medical emergencies.
• Enforce hotel policies with a guest-focused approach.
• Prepare incident reports for management review.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and fire departments as needed.
• Escort guests and staff for safety when required.
• Support loss prevention and monitor access to restricted areas.
• Assist with crowd control during events or high-occupancy periods.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Cover breaks for front desk or night audit as needed.
• Retrieve or park valet cars after hours as necessary.
• Clean and maintain public areas (lobby, hallways, restrooms, etc.).
• Respond to guest requests (extra linens, cribs, rollaway beds) and deliver items courteously.
• Comply with security, fire regulations and health & safety laws.
• Provide courteous service when interacting with guests and coworkers.

• Provide professional assistance to guests and staff in cases of accidents, theft, disturbances, or medical emergencies.


• Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a guest-focused, service-oriented approach.


• Prepare accurate incident and security reports for management review.


• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and fire departments when required.


• Escort guests and staff when necessary for safety reasons.


• Support loss prevention initiatives and monitor access to restricted areas.


• Assist with crowd control during events, conferences, or high-occupancy periods.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods (up to 8 hours).


• Must be able to quickly respond to emergencies, including running short distances and climbing stairs.


• Must be able to push up to 75 pounds, lift and carry up to 25lbs


• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.


• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional during overnight shifts if scheduled.


• Must be able to visually inspect public areas to ensure adherence to standards.
