Job summary

PCI Municipal Services seeks a maintenance worker to patrol city-owned parking garages overnight, ensuring no unauthorized access. The role includes routine maintenance, lawn care, and snow removal during winter, with ParkItDesk used for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Drive city vehicles; operate snow plow, shovel, snow blower, salt spreader and ice chipper as appropriate.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; work in all weather conditions.
• Complete additional tasks as directed by management.

Job Description:The primary focus of this position is to monitor various garages overnight, to ensure facilities do not have unwanted guests. When the locations have been checked, other maintenance functions may be assigned.11:00PM-7:00AMDuties of the Maintenance team include but are not limited to:Go through (walk and drive) all City owned parking facilities frequently to remove non-customers.Work with OPD, when needed, to complete Ban and Bar forms.Knowledge of equipment used in parking maintenance. Training for major equipment is provided with a $1/hour raise upon successful completion of the program and after at least, 180 days of employment.Maintain parking garages and facilities with the ability to make minor repairs.Use ParkItDesk for Work Order tracking and updates.Snow removal – keep walkways, garages and entries clear of snow by using a snow plow, shovel, snow blower, salt spreader and ice chipper during the winter months.Drive City vehicles. Must have valid driver’s license.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Work in all weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, heat, dust etc…).Lawn care as directed.Other tasks assigned by management.Skills:Integrity - Must be honest and ethical.Motivation - Must be independent and motivated to complete tasks.Dependability - Must be ready to work at start time.Communication - Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.Be aware of safety regulations, practices and procedures applicable to work unit.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Pass a background check and drug test.
